Treehotel Is Not For the Birds!

OK, so this new Treehotel falls into the category of done well and really fun.  The Treehotel in Harads, Sweden was built, literally, in the trees.  The six treerooms are located in unspoiled nature just outside this small town of 600 people.

Here is a short description from their website:

The idea behind Treehotel is to offer high-standard accommodation in a harmonious place where daily stress melts away. Guests can relax and renew their energy while surrounded by unspoiled nature. Together with some of Scandinavia’s leading architects, we created our uniquely designed “treerooms.” The rooms are suspended 4-6 meters above ground – all with spectacular views of the Lule River.

You can choose from several treeroom designs such as the Bird’s Nest, the UFO, and the Mirrorcube and laddered steps take you up to your room.

As a frequent traveler, I must say that the design and location of these treerooms has put them on my bucket list.  I think it would be so much fun to stay in a room like this and to enjoy nature in a new way.  Now, I just have to figure out a way to get a speaking engagement in Harads.
