Just Funny

Apparently, there is a problem in Vilnius, Lithuania with motorists parking illegally in bike lanes.  The mayor of Vilnius, Arturas Zuokas, used a tank to crush a Mercedes that was parked in a bike lane. Point well made. By the way, the mayor is an avid bike rider.  Thank goodness he wasn’t a hunter.

Even Royal Protocol Can Be Fun

Canadian singer Meaghan Blanchard was singing for Prince William and his wife when she made a blunder of her attempt to honor them with their royal titles.  She mixed up the words “duke” and “duchess” and accidentally called Prince William a “douche.” Now, I’m sure she felt really bad at the time but in the […]

Clever Breast Cancer Awareness

I was on a flight to Phoenix this week and a man two seats in front of me stood up to leave. I noticed this on the back of his t-shirt: DON’T LET CANCER STEAL SECOND BASE Now, I know that this could be viewed as a very chauvinistic perspective but I think it a […]

Along those lines, only once in a millennium does something happen like the Anthony Weiner fiasco.  For a politician named Weiner to […]

The Smothers Brothers Did it Well

I just finished reading David Bianculli’s book, Dangerously Funny, The Uncensored Story of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.  It was a wonderful walk down memory lane taking me back to my childhood in the mid 1960’s when I savored both the humor and the music of this ground-breaking variety show. What I did not know […]
