In my new book, currently on sale at Amazon in case you’re wondering, I wrote a chapter on volunteering. I’m a big believer in community service and as a member of a Rotary club, I am involved in some pretty cool projects.
But here’s an even cooler service project.
A man in Kentucky bought up all the remaining inventory from a Kmart store that was closing. He planned to sell it for a profit but then decided to donate it all to local charities. It is estimated that underprivileged people in his town will now have enough clothing to get them through the next year.
Right on. That’s doing it well – and I bet he had fun too!
